Been hoping for a little rain for the last few weeks, the trouble is there is never a happy medium! River very high indeed and rich muddy Brown so kept myself warm and dry. Perhaps try again in a couple of days but I see more rain forecast for the end of the week. On the optimistic side though, at least the water should encourage a few fish up river

Despite the rain, very little colour in the waer and barely any higher than it has been in the last few weeks. Two trout of around 1lb each caught mid evening. Some fish rising to a late hatch of iron blues but otherwise little showing. Possibly the fish were hiding from the otter in the top bank pool!

7:00am start. Water clear and low so I wasn't very optimistic. A couple of fish following but no takes until around 9:45. One fine fat brownie of 2.25lbs. Fished this beat a few times now with no blanks so far. This is my second two pounder here and a personal best. Well pleased ????
