Fished llyn cwellyn for a few hours. Spectacular location. The llyn is gin clear and was full of pretty golden fish from 8 to 11 inches. Bank fishing is easy on the road side, with good wading. (You must use NP carpark which is £6 a day) After fishing Cwellyn we tried llynnau cwm silyn. Walk about 40 minutes up the track. These lakes are located under a towering crag, like something out of 'Lord of the Rings'. The upper llyn is hard to fish being shallow in parts and water is almost transparent. Some fish seen and lost here (appeared very small) the lower llyn was more productive, a number of fish 7 to 11 inches caught. This llyn is deeper in the margins and seemed less sterile with weed which held fish close to drop offs. Great day out.

Absolutely zero fish surfacing for food. I imagine it is to do with the 30 degrees Celsius that it was on the day.

Hard fighting free biting beautiful wbt. Stunning scenery but be warned water access not easy and car park is pay and display, contactless at least, heaving with Snowdon peakers.
