There wasn't much happening when I started at around 7pm apart from some barbel and shad spawning commotion. Things picked up on the trout front at around 8.30pm with lots of fish rising in the tail of the Rock Pool, leading to a frantic last half hour. This is much shallower nowadays, meaning you can wade a long way up from the Bridge Flats.
Landed 9 x trout and 1 x oos grayling all on cdc olive emergers. Nothing huge (biggest 13") but great fun all the same. First yellow mays that I've seen this year hatching too.

Wow, been a couple of years since I've been to this old favourite ....Now I live in Rhayader, local ones like the Edw, Ithon and Irfon are more convenient... However, was lovely parking up in the old pull in at eleven bells....Reading 17 degrees on my trucks dash board .... was going to be a hot one !!!
She's certainly hard going !!! If you love assault courses, kneeling casts and bow and Arrow casting, this beats for you !!! If not, get yourself down on the Test, where the only thing to worry about, is stumbling on a molehill on the mown grass banks!!!!! Lol .....
Joking aside tis rewarding catching these stunning fish !! Dries all the way up, as always ...Hot weather, and besides, this callsign doesn't like dredging tungsten cannonballs !! Finesse, etiquette and a well placed dry will get you your response, simple as that !!!! Masses of upwings about, medium olives and Large brook duns .....
Nine beauties to my net, with three of four long range, self released kindly fish... Great fun...
She is low, with lots and lots of trees down..And of course the weir, although still in situ, the flow appears to be going under the structure now !! The other side is now at least a normal river !!! Yaaaaay ?? Are there plans to remove this unsightly structure WUF ... While their doing it, they can remove the huge ash trees across the river, some sixty yards downstream!!! Kill two birds with one stone ....
A lovely session, got out uo by the old weir , thankfully, the storms have knocked a tree and buckled thf three strand barbed wire fence so, now we have an access point.... every cloud has a silver lining hey .Crops are in That big field this year, so no Aberdeen Angus to worry about !!!
Back to one of the other Arrow beats soon .... A cracking dry fly session !!!! Happy days ......

Four rainbows taken on worm 3 little browns retuned . Weather was warm and sunny with a slight breeze fishing was rather slow . It’s a shame to see all this discarded monofilament left laying around after the bank holiday cans and wrappers left very were all this left to the detriment of our wildlife clean up after you finish for the day !!!!

Used two methods upstream dry fly and euro nymphing both methods hooked fished but none landed. Both access and river bank overgrown and dangerous to use on left hand bank and right limited to beach area approximately only 400 yards at most fisheable absolute waste of money for fly fishing however saw 3 kingfishers one heron and several sand sandmartin.
