Beautiful day to be on the river but not a lot of action to be had. There was a reasonable amount of insect life but not really any rising interest. Tried with some PT nymphs and March browns / grannums. One tug on a nymph but nothing landed! Lovely spot, will be back

Little showing, little hatching. River rising, rain falling. Very cool 5 degree C air temp. Only interest of the day was watching an otter along the bottom section of the beat.

A very warm welcome from staff at Glanusk. First time fishing the Usk , unfortunately didn't catch a fish of any description.
River running fast and coloured not really fishable. But I persevered hoping the water would clear. I fished till 7pm but still fishing in brown water my chances of catching low.
I will be back and hopefully time it right next time.
