Late start today after diesel issues meant we missed the early morning bite time. However, did manage one nice barbel of about 6lb. Pellet and feeder tactics.

River low and scorching sun but fished steady all day through!! Feeder best from different swims

3 barbel in the morning session to pellet and feeder, from the lower half of the beat. Moved to the upper half for the evening and had one chub, 2 barbel.

All fish taken from the lower half of the section. Biggest 7.5lb, smallest a pound!

2 small chub caught on pellet. Water colour and height increasing throughout morning. Lots of flow and weed washing down made fishing tricky.

Nice to be back on this beat and find a few fish after a tough session a few weeks ago. All fish to pellet, no feeders in sight mind! Its amazing how a little extra flow helps your leads find the rocks. Lots of tackle swallowed by the Wye but it was worth it. All barbel between 6 and a half and 8 and a half pound, a bigger average size than we have found here before. Left absolutely soaked. If I hadnt had my dog spike and rope I may still have been sat in my peg now!
