Another new beat for us and no problems with directions and where to park which were clearly marked and easy to find. A beautiful stretch of water and we shared the field with some timid grazing sheep which is always preferable to cattle.
Despite the river being in reasonable shape the fishing was slow but compensated by just being on the bank and enjoying the spectacular sight of a Jay swooping against the backdrop of the dark trees on the opposite side.
We only managed to catch one trout float fishing in the faster water but the last hour sprung into life on the usual feeder tactics. Some good fish were caught the best of which was a cracking Chub just under 6lb and a Barbel weighing 8lb 4oz. All the fish were immaculate and we thank the owner and the WUF for another memorable day on the Wye.

First time on this stretch and the fishing looked as though it would be difficult with the sun shining, river low and clear. Fished in the downstream field only. BEWARE OF THE FIRST MARKED PEG IN THIS FIELD AS IT IS THE HOME OF A SWARM OF WASPS. Twenty or so stings to the head didn't make for a comfortable days fishing, but persevered and two barbel were caught with the best of 9lb 10oz.

Only two anglers caught on this fabulous stretch of the wonderful Wye. One of our group set out off the blocks like Mr Bolt only to see him return crest fallen as his favourite swim had mysteriously been stolen. Wait the sign had been moved and now was only fishable by Salmon Anglers. He was not a happy bunny to say the least!! However one of the party caught a 10lb 2oz Barbel on pellet feeder. Will be back if only to check that no more swims mysteriously disappear!!

Fished two swims at top of stretch, feeder with groundbait/pellet and hemp/caster, only two small chub the result. Moved to below car park on stick/pin/trotted meat, result 4 or 5 chub to 4lbs. Moved back to top end when swim died. No further action on feeder, so returned to Parsons Stream pool, trotting meat/caster, feeding hemp/caster. Steady stream of chub to over 4lbs. Last hour saw a bite a chuck. Wonderful fishing, over looked by Goodrich Castle and surrounded by wildlife. Can't wait to return.

Warm, pleasant, Autumn day with no wind. River on the low side but with a decent flow. Barbel on the first and last cast of the day with a few chub in between, caught on pellet and feeder. The last fish was 9-12 which capped a perfect day in lovely surroundings.

Very poor day on the river, no Chub, no Barbel, not a touch all day, friends fishing below Hereford experienced the same, maybe the cold snap & low water has put the fish off for a while, next time!!!

A big drop in temperature slowed the fishing for sure. We landed 10 barbel to 8lb 8oz and 8 chub to 5lb 3oz over the 2 days.

Water levels still up and very murky. We had to search for the fish, but eventually found them on the upstream pegs. We used swim feeders, with either luncheon meat, halibut pellet or spicy sausage pellet on the hook.
