3 on beaded nymphs in fast water, 2 on dry flies upstream late afternoon where fish rose consistently for around 2 hours. Not clear what they were eating but a size 20 klink accounted for one and size 14 copper coloured dry was snapped up on landing.
Lots of on and offs with both methods . It was good to see plenty of activity in unpromising hot and bright conditions. A good variety of insects over and on the water and spotted a bullhead in the shallows.

Very few fish showing. Beautiful beat with lots of different water to go at. Grayling of around a pound falling to tungsten bead nymphs. Lost one and had a few pulls but generally slow/ hard work.

3 rainbows on the olive damsel. all released, nice healthy looking fish
