Lovely strech even with two metres of water on, couple of pegs with generous slack water.
Only bug bear with pretty much all of the Wye and usk fisheries was the acsess and totally inadequate parking, fully understand you can't have a road through the edge of a field but come on we are paying top end day ticket prices with the worry about leaving a vehicle in a precarious situation.

Tough day on a beautiful beat, river at 3m on Lydbrook gauge. Lovely to meet bailif Stefan and a massive thank you to Colin for the baiting needle, it was much appreciated. I need to be better at finding fish !!!

-4 degrees when we arrived and didn't rise above 1 degree in the day. We fished with meat and maggots. Moving through the upper swims until midday and then moving downstream but to no avail. The bright sunshine along with the water temp killed the fishing with not a knock between us all day. Beautiful stretch of the Wye in the most stunning of locations.

Very cold day, but river was running through nicely. Only found the one chub, but missed another good bite. Lovely quiet day.

The river was fairly low for the time of year and also pretty clear. Add to that the baltic recent temperatures and we knew it would be a tough day. All angles managed to catch something so I guess that's a bonus and 5 of the 6 Chub were around the 3:8 to 4lb mark. Pike to 7:8 ish on dead baits.
An enjoyable day but hard as nails!
