Weather was dry with a very strong breeze. Me and my grandson started fishing around 9.30 am and we had the whole bank to ourselves. We had our 1st fish at 10.36 with our 2nd fish at 11.10. The bailiffs drove past and went over the far side of the dam ( the old ticket shed side ) first. After they went a camper van that was parked up next to a few cars the doors opened and a few started fishing and a few more at which point they were both sides of us. After they stopped fishing we didn't get a single bite. So all in all a poor days fishing .

Well what can I say, this beat was teaming with trout. Absolutely loved every minute of it. I ended up throwing the whole fly box at them to see what they would take. Took everything from nymphs, emergers, drys even large damsel nymphs, small streamers. If you’ve fished this you know exactly where I’ve got 90% of the fish.
