18lbs caught from The Maddox on Red Francis Fly

Chub were hungry and numerous! Other was a roach. Used groundbait feeder, pellets, meat, sweetcorn. Good day.

1 Barbel, 30 Chub, 1 Other

Only fished for about 3 hours in the evening

Slow start but had a few moves and eventually found some fish.

Had three nice chub from the lower end of the beat on luncheon meat. Be aware that the middle car park is out of use due to ongoing roadworks.

Good to see a bit more water in the river, although not so good to have heavy downpours and strong winds. Because of this I fished the lucky stone area with the float for a few hours in the morning and then moved down to the end of the first field when I needed to get the brolly up and take cover. 5 chub on the float and 5 ledgering. No barbel today, but suspect I would have been more fortunate if the weather had played ball and I’d been able to ledger at lucky stone.
