1 Chub

Another day without a bite, not helped by us having to leave early for the trip home. A warmer day today, so we may have caught something in the evening had we been able to stay on. You could see the bottom in every swim here and with virtually no weed it was always going to be hard going.

Low and very clear river, bright sunny conditions and very windy - not a bite all day and tried everything!

River low and clear, sunny spells and windy. Struggled to find the fish in these conditions but we all enjoyed the day in this scenic spot

3 Barbel

Water very low and clear, mainly used feeder or bomb. Throwing it down with rain most of the morning. Tried various tactics re feeding or not as the case may be to no avail. Just the one Chub, nice one at about 4lb. I think I was at too shallow a swim but couldn't be bothered to move due to the rain! Next time I will try further up the beat where it looks deeper and slower.

Difficult day, tried 3 separate swims and finally caught the only fish of the day, a barbel in the last hour. Having said that always good to be fishing on the Wye.

1 Barbel

River very low. 2 barbel 8lb 11oz and 7lb. Fished all day 1st bite not until 4pm.

2 Barbel

4 Barbel, 3 Chub, 1 Pike

Great day to take my nephew for his first barbel trip. All fish caught on pellet with the best fish being just over ten pound.
Considering the lack of recent rain I didn’t think we would be catching a great deal which I think made the day even more special.
