Arrived at the river early, overcast and around 8degrees, started nymphing and saw few rises, changed to a Klinkhammer I tied recently and caught a lovely WBT, caught 2 more on hares ear nymph. Water was clear, lots of nymphs under stones, lots coming off the water towards mid day. Reasonably accessible beat. KM

Great morning fishing.. River low so fish concentrated. Found a massive Dead grayling in Rock pool circa 2.5lbs.

All taken on nymphs under an indicator. The very bottom of the beat is very difficult to access. You’re better off getting in about half way up the orchard. The section above the weir is entirely lined by an electric fence along one bank. I had to camo crawl under it to get in. And some of the very edges are thick mud like quicksand. Not one for the less mobile.
