Really enjoyed the beat and the gillie, unfortunately the weather was far to bright and far to hot, on a downside it was a pity there were so many people swimming on the beat with their dogs and inflatables!

My first day of the season at Wyesham. River still on the high side but had a lively sealiced 14 lbs fish on a single hook Flying C. and lost a larger fish shortly afterwards. A run of fish arrived in the pool with four showing.
Packed up early to watch the rugby.....I should have stayed!

Beautiful Day on a stunning beat. Colemans in the morning with lots of fish showing, but I am sure most have seen the contents of many a fly box, so hard going. Worked my way down to Station Stream and got a very gentle take about 30yards down from the steam off the far bank on a size 10 cascade. Decent sized fish, but lost after about a minute, as it was starting to wake up and get grumpy!
Concentrated on Viaduct and Little Oaks in the afternoon, without any joy or signs of fish. Monsoon rainfall ended the day at 7pm.
Many thanks to Joe for sage advice..... can't wait for another visit.

A second chance on this excellent fly water. Unfortunately it was cut short by me taking a tumble. However, that aside a good day out despite low water, warm, very clear low-water. Next time!!
