We tried both the fly and spinner throughout the beat but failed to tempt any fish. A lot of salmon were showing, maybe 2 dozen different fish, but most were moving right under the far bank and just out of reach. The river was carrying a dark brown/green colour which greatly reduced visibility. A very nice location, beat much better suited to spinning.

Only fished for 4 hours due to commitments. Couple of fish showing in pool and opposite dead trees on a rising river slightly coloured. One pull on fly in Little run but no fish.

Water had risen slightly overnight due to heavy local rain. Fished all day with fly and spinner but no fish caught and no takes. Running fish seen again throughout the beat. Hard to cover them as most were running within a few feet of the far bank.

Very hot day and bright not ideal conditions. No fish (only 1 salmon showed all day).
On a poorer note would the person who fished before me please tidy their mess up at the hut in future ruins a beautiful place.
