Very very hot day & water level low. Beautiful estate and well kept. A few little trout rising, standing in the tower bridge you could see them. Couple of takes but nothing in the net.

Arrived around 11:30am, already warm and temperatures continued to rise, a really pretty beat, that fortunately did offer some shade. 2 oos grayling, on nymphs. Didn’t spot any rising fish.

Went for the long walk around the woods to lucky stone, chub were absolutely frantic. Barbel a little conspicuous by their absence however that not helped by 2 or 3 losses, one an absolute submarine that came up from the depths, swam over the top of the net and then performed a neat swimmers roll to make good his escape.
All baits caught but pellet accounted for most of the barbel bites
