Lovely rural beat. Access is good (circa 400m downhill through woods) to the beat. That takes you to the downstream end of the and it is a long haul with equipment to the faster flowing upstream end. Took an early 7lb barbel of the croy and then 3 others up to 7 1/2 lbs from the upstream pegs. River access has been kept maintained (thank you) but would benefit from some posts and knotted ropes at some pegs to help get back up the steep banks in wet conditions.

Clear water, level very low, sunny , hot, fish based baits most effective.
Note - found one pair of grey framed spectacles in lower swim, can post if you can contact via fishing passport .

Lots of chub around and whilst I saw some barbel, they weren't interested in what I had to offer. The other was a decent brownie which liked my float fished pellet.
