Went after pike but unfortunately not a sniff on the deadbaits.

A pleasant autumn day, with the river more or less back to normal level and clear. All the fish fell to pellet feeder, though other methods were tried, including rolled meat.

Flow was strong, speaking to other anglers not much had been caught. Beautiful scenery though

River still pushing through probably caught it a day or two early. Lost 2 at my feet !!!

Fished in very bright and hot October conditions and struggled a bit.
Two of us in meadow and one in woods, only one barbel caught.
A lot of weed started coming down mid morning making fishing very difficult .
Like Courtfield though and normally fish it when we come down

Only the one Chub today. Good 5lb taken on a 12mm halibut pellet.

2 beautifully conditioned Barbel. Both taken on a single 12mm Source boilie.
Water was thinning out in colour, low flow and bright sunshine.

Difficult fishing for sure hower it all came good in the end.
