1 Barbel, 2 Chub, 1 Pike

No catch

River levels had come down and the were recording just below 1.5m at Ross, but I still struggled to find any slack water to target the pike here. I did manage to get one small 7lb one fishing less than 2ft from the bank.

Arrived to find fishing not possible given the fact the river is flooded - swims are underwater and flow too fast.

Sorry to say we could not fish this venue,At 74 i am to old to take the risk involved ,i have fished this beat in the past but is now to dangerous when the ground is so wet.

River was up and coloured, but dropping. Wooded section unfishable with so much water on. Stayed in the meadow and enjoyed ourselves.

8 Barbel, 4 Chub

River was really flooded and full of floating trees. I was only able to fish beneath the rod tip, but the barbel were feeding with 3 caught to 8lb and 3 lost. Also had a eel. First time at this stretch and at the end i parked, it was very overgrown with limited spots to be able to fish from.

Overcast with rain later, river steady. Slow days fishing couple of chub and barbel of 4lb and 8lb.

It was a real surprise to catch 3 eels today, with the biggest about 3lb. Great to see them doing so well, but a reminder not to use luncheon meat next time! Also two reasonable chub. Water lowish, mainly overcast.
