River very low, all fish caught from the fast water on spam, couldn't get a bite on pellets, all fish swam away strongly, weather was cloudy which i think helped, always nice to be on this amazing river

Beautiful setting, well maintained cut out swims and fairly easy access to the length of the beat from the middle car park.
Probably my favourite beat on the Wye. Despite assistance from the ever helpful bailiff, a day of no fish.
Water levels low and water temperature hot and despite trying both slow and faster water at different times, using all methods and baits, no interest from the fish.
Will definitely return next year.

Arrived early, baited up a few swims, tackled up, first cast into a decent Chub within 60 secs. Thought we were in for a cracking session until the sun came on big style. Sadly it was not to be, conditions were very difficult, no cloud, 28/29 degrees, low, clear water levels for most swims but we did manage a few good Barbel. All fish taken on meat, could not get any interest whatsoever on anything else. Other was a very respectable Eel.

Other a Gudgeon!
Had a look from Foy Bridge on way to beat and was pleased to see a shoal of 12 barbel feeding, all about the 12ozs, good for the future!
