A difficult first day of six on the river, algae bloom has made the river look like malt vinegar. First time on this beat, plenty of canoes but no hassle even when the armada arrived. All fish caught on pellet.

A very hard day on a stretch we normally do well on. Water was a strange brown colour and something was not quite right. Since read other similar reports.

Some 20 eel of various sizes. Barbel showing to 9lb, fewer chub than normal. Water colour was unusual like watery gravy, which we felt knocked the chub numbers down. Enjoyable day with plenty of fish.

A tough days fishing, the water was low and an odd brown colour with plenty of streamer weed to deal with. Most of the fish were caught late afternoon on boilies except for the two eels which took meat. Two chubb 3lb 8oz, 4lb 11oz and two barbel 8lb 3oz and 7lb 15oz.

Not a day for fish for me. Really struggled again here. Fish seem to hide away when I turn up! Fished late afternoon through to evening. Not a single take on float or feeder. Chatting to nice guy who also booked, he managed to grab a few decent barbel. This venue is my nemesis without a doubt.

arrived at around 645 and had a walk from the line of trees to the right hand boundary. settled in to a swim and caught a barbel within the first hour which was around 8lbs on pellet feeder.

no further bites here and found it a bit hit or miss with finding clear spots / weed - the water was a dark copper colour so visibility wasnt good for spotting fish / weed / river bed.

tried several swims along the beat and caught only chub thereafter. the bailiff visited and commented that sometimes the fish are there to be caught and sometimes they seem to dissappear. happy to catch one but gutted i didnt have a day with multiple fish

River slightly high with lots of loose streamer weed coming down, fishing once again very slow with two barbel caught to DC, cage feeders and 8 mm pellets used by both anglers.
Some very large branches were coming down river all day causing some tackle to be lost

A very hot day, but the fishing was steady. The largest fish was a shade under 8lb and the others all over 5lb. All caught on small pellets.
Last fish of the day was an eel.
Fished the lower part of the beat in the deep channel.
