Fished the evening from 7pm and a few fish started to rise at about 8pm. 5 WBT 7-11 inches, the first 3 on a sedge pattern and 2 in the fading light on a Mayfly. Missed quit a few along the way. Beautiful still evening with a full moon rising later on. Picture perfect stretch of river.

Lovely stretch of river, water very clear. A little low, lovely weather, lively insect life on the river, moderate mayfly hatches - regrettably only one rise seen in 4 hrs and nothing caught on dries or wets.

Fished from 11am to 4:30pm on a warm, sunny and cloudy day. River running low and clear with few flies about and only two small fish seen rising.
I had an unexpectedly great days fishing catching 19 trout and losing about ten more. Most of the fish were about 5-8 inches with a few bigger ones, including one of around 12 inches. All were caught fishing upstream on a long French nymphing leader with two tungsten beaded PT/HE nymphs. Most of the fish came from deep water with a good flow.
Note: if you cross the small footbridge and turn right, watch out for a 6 inch high strip of barbed wire across the path that goes through the undergrowth. It's about 25 yards from the bridge and seems to be part of an old collapsed fence.

Lovlely valley, great place, river clear. Warm, dry day but very windy. Dry fly seemed to be the order of the day. Nothing rising small amount of fly life each run and hole look very fishy. Eventually caught on duo set up. Saw kingfishers and dippers. Total - 3 brown trout to 5 inches.

River & weather perfect in this beautiful location. Plenty of fly about and thought I was in for a very enjoyable day. Never saw a rise or a fish the whole day, not even a small one. The river was totally dead. Very, very disappointing and will not be visiting again. Sorry, but I have to come to the conclusion that this fishing is poorly managed.

Arrived about 4pm, fished for a couple of hours. Cattle (including a bull) in the first field by the footbridge so be cautious.
Big mayfly hatches visible, caught a nice browny about a pound on a small dry imitation. River appears quite high from the rain and the holes are very deep at the moment. As such it is difficult to wade continuously. Apart from the cattle drink, access to the river is also difficult as the vegetation is thick from edge of field to bank.
