Fished all day with worm as we have done many times in the past over many years . Had no bites or 'knocks' and caught no fish. Saw no fish 'rising'. I consider this a very sad state of affairs. Paying £24.50 to catch no fish ! I am convinced that the lake is not being stocked with fish.
I feel sure that you will edit this report or not show it, which is very disappointing.

After an incredibly busy day before at Fownhope 5 we arrived at the river full of optimism (and a brilliant fry up from the Green Man). However it wasn't to be the most productive day. One angler had a decent chub on the second cast and then struggled for bites for the rest of the day, despite moving a number of times around the lower (faster water) swims. The other angler stayed put and ended up with 3 barbel for the day, with quite a long time between bites -appropriate time to be scoring a hat-rick!. Never mind - lovely to see the river and its wildlife in high summer. River height was good. Thanks to all at WUF for a lovely couple of days

All fish caught in the evening session on the bend. Fish in good condition. Saw one of the resident otters which explained why the bites dried up for an hour but started again.

4 Barbel, 5 Chub
