Fished the river taff pontygwaith bridge, using worm few bites no fish caught.

Chub and more chub if you like chub have a days fishing here very good

Plenty of obliging chub up to 3.5 pounds. Fished close to the upstream limit of the beat in a deeper pool just above the riffle. Luncheon meat took most of the fish

First time fishing this beat and what a good beat to fish. Only fished ¾ of the length of the beat upriver sighting and targeting rising fish. Caught 6 on caddis dry fly and 3 on pheasant tail nymph with an orange tag. Quite surprising how deep some of the swims can get too. Very good beat will definitely be returning
