Difficult day river was well on the rise with all sorts of debris coming down. Found a few hungry fish but could get any consistency. However kept me thinking all day. Enjoyed very much.

Great stretch, with good number of accessible swims. Track leading to river is steep, but easily manageable even after a little rain, although probably wouldn't push my luck if extremely wet as even driving along the riverbank to the furthest car park would be a challenge. River was rising fast for the last few hours, which made life awkward, but some lovely fish caught. Largest Barbel 9.10 and some super Chub, largest 5.7 - meat accounted for all but one fish, which was caught on boilie. 4 fished.

Driving rain and stiff wind made for a tricky three hours but well worth it. All came to black flies on or just sub surface. An amazing place and Mother Nature threw in the gift of a Hen Harrier which was extra special.

Well after weeks of low and clear water we had colour and a decent flow.Unfortunately I could only fish for a couple of hours and blanked. However my friend had 2 barbel and 3 chub .His first time at the venue.
