Good day today 4 rainbow trout caught on spinners.

Very enjoyable. 9c with drizzle and brisk upstream wind. No rise or fly until 2’30 so fished nymphs. Caught 3 late morning above lower boundary. Then moved to upper boundary and had good dry fly fishing for 1.5 hours and caught 3 more on parachute adams.

Had 3 days on the river, lovely scenery, 9 trout over the 3 days, lots of fish rising, just had to find what they were taking, mainly Shipmans Buzzer.

We caught one lovely trout just over 2lb in weight. There was a great depth of water in the pools and a good constant flow.

Lovely few hours on this beautiful stretch. Access and parking was very easy, and many trees had been pruned back on the stretch I fished from Titley Bridge up to the fence line at the end of the field. Unfortunately I have yet to master casting with my new 6ft 2 wt, so struggled to reach some of the pools on the right bank. Will definitely be back here.
