Fished the lucky stones on a warm day with the river level very low. Had constant chub up to 4.5lb throughout the day, most falling to hair rigged spam. Towards the end of the day 3 barbel graced our with the biggest going just over 6lb. It’s a bit of a trek to the lucky stones through the woods but well worth the effort. Great day.

River very low and little chance of a salmon but nice to put out a line.
Wild brownies made the day however. 4 lost a 2 missed during the afternoon before an excellent evening rise with lots of fish accumulating just off the quicker water in the Cynrig Pool for the last 90 minutes of the day. Landed 5 (all returned), lost 2 and missed many more. Fabulous quality fish, hard fighting, electic rises and takes. Most coming to a CDC buzzer. A lovely, peaceful and private beat. Looking forward to seeing it again someday when there's water on

Day three and final day for are trip on the wye again first time on this beat the back trop and surroundings area is nice but unfortunately that is where it ends before we began to fish we walked the hole stretch to say that this excellent fishing is NOT QUITE TRUE the top end was absolutely abysmal which is a shame with some work done on it you could make at least 8 to 10 swims so say that there was a mile of fishing not the case we payed good money for this beat well we felt we had been mugged plus the noise of the pump going ALL day is a shame so we all agreed that you could looking at 400yds or so of fishing as for the fishing we did managed to get some fish out but unless there is some work done on the top end we all agreed we definitely not return
