Hot sunshine and low levels on the upper Lugg this morning. Lots of Coch y bonddu beetles hatching in the river meadows.
A few Mayfly hatching from midday and occasional trout rising. Managed half a dozen trout in the 3 hours I was there on a mix of dries and nymphs.

Difficult fishing in hot sunny conditions. River running low and clear. Spooky fish, some which looked very large. Very sporadic rises, didn't manage to tempt any of them. Few flies, difficult to tell what the trout were rising to.
