2 Barbel, 2 Chub

Water was a good height and all fish were a good size. Trout seemed more active than grayling, even to deeply fished bugs

The water was high, fast and coloured. A passing regular Wyebank angler stopped and suggested we request a wash off but after a two hour drive we decided to fish and concentrate on the near bank water with its slower flow. Meat worked. Tried pellets but no takers.

Four chub to fly angler MH, re-visiting coarse fishing after an interval of 45 years. The other (and smallest) chub to TH. A few other fish lost, two possibly barbel but didn’t get a visual. Still, a pretty good day in those conditions.

River looking much better than the previous 5 visits actually has water in it that isn't full of weed. Caught 1 Barbel and lost one in a short session

lost a couple of fish river was high and running

0.9 on Cilmery gauge. Pushing through a bit fast in most pools. Small fish both had on nymphs.

No catch again, I have been very disappointed this season, my catch rate has been very very low from other years, I don’t know if the rate of fish was lower or there was more poaching. But still very disappointed
