Around 15 perch caught and returned
It's becoming almost impossible to fish for trout at the Usk reservoir with such huge numbers of perch in the water

Shame about the lack of swims fishable due to kayaks and there was 4 fishing today it was hard to get a swim but still managed to have a nice day 3 barble 2 chub and a monster eel havent caught one that size for many years 4lb +

Llwyn Onn. 2 trout approx 1.5 and 2lb both caught on ledger with worm. Low water but no crayfish stealing bait as last time, in 2019. Osprey seen hunting over lake as we were leaving.

This was my first attempt at catching wild browns and although the conditions were good, the trout were too quick for me.
Fished for about 3 hours from 9:30 am. I had one serious offer, I had one on which unhooked itself when it leapt clear of the water, and another couple of taps. Overall an enjoyable morning in beautiful surroundings
