Nothing caught, brief hatch for about 20 minutes mid afternoon with a few fish rising but could not get them to take my fly. Saw a Osprey.

Changeable weather today, cloudy, sunny and a few showers with light winds.
Difficult fishing though, not takers on any kind of nymph, but a hatch around 1pm brought the fish to the surface. Unfortunately we couldn't get them to take anything, despite trying many different flies.
As we walked back to the car we both tried casting dries into likely looking areas. This was how I managed to fluke a 10 inch fish.
Not sure why it was so difficult when this is such a productive beat?

Love the top beats on this section of the Wye and two cracking salmon seen leaping 2or 3 feet out of the water . I think they were on the run . I would say the bigger of the two Hen fish around 26lb and the smaller 15lb .
A couple of trout caught .
