Lost a fish at 5.15 am when the fish got tangled in a tree branch on Martins pool . Water got very dirty shortly after so I called it a day. I will definitely come back and fish again . Outstanding area.

Fished the lower end. Water low slow and coloured. Tons of chub,no barbel so switched to lighter gear and had a great day

Canoeists every 3-7 minutes - so fishing pretty much pointless.

You should reference this on tour website - I wouldn't have booked if I had known.

Very quiet fish wise. Only saw two rising trout and didn’t see anything moving in the pools or holding anywhere. Plenty of insect life and even the odd mayfly around, plus Dippers and a Kingfisher.. I only stayed for just over an hour. This is a really pretty beat but the water level is really low. There are some deep pools, but you almost need to fish them like a stillwater - a dry sits on top and doesn’t move. The shallower runs are mostly too shallow to hold fish. I’ll come back when we have had some rain

Conditions mostly cloudy with a few showers. Slight colour on the water. Great variety of swims and good access.
