7 Trout hooked in all, 4 to the net plus the Grayling. All size 14 PTN with a bit of flash, all in shallow water. Very warm and bright. We both were testing wader repairs- all watertight!

We block booked this beat for three anglers and despite the low water levels, 75% of our catch was caught by one angler.

First time on this venue,water very low,will fish again with a bit more water hopefully but not to much.

River water level quite low. Weather 30+ degrees, cloud 0/8. No show of Barbel as previous visits but managed to catch two very nice Chub. (4/14 & 5/2 Ibs). Tactics used - 12ft rod, sliding open ended feeder loaded with ground bait, small pellets and hemp seed. 0.5m hook length, 14mm banded pellet and size 12 wide gape BARBLESS hook. Also enjoyed the two common sandpiper birds bombing up and down the river - obviously nesting nearby. :)
