Fish rising from in areas from 11.30 when we arrived until around 4.30 -5ish. Strong breeze down river made casting more testing. All caught on dries mostly soft hackle CDC. Lovely day and location.

Lovely day and location. 8 fish netted over Dinas and Abercynrig ranging from 1/4 to 1.5 lbs, many missed takes and fish lost before the net. All returned safely - great fun

River quite low but enough flow to make for an enjoyable day. Six wbt caught and returned, similar amount lost due to early season rustiness!! Taken on a trusty Adams Para. Highlight of the day a 14" clonker which is a reminder of how big Edw trout can go in this gem of a river. Great day's fishing, thank you WUF.

River pretty low and little fly life. Quite a cold start but temperature rose to 14c during the day. No rain and wind that had plagued this 4 day trip. 13 wbt caught and returned. All on dries, Para Adams the most productive pattern today. Very aggressive takes in the faster moving water and plenty of 7"-9" trout, best a 12" beauty, fin perfect taken in a clear, fast moving pool. Thrilling. Great way to end a trip to my happy place, thanks as always WUF.

Hoped for a little more water from yesterday's rain. If there was any it wasn't much. Some fly and a couple of good fish seen in one of deeper pools. Only two rising fish spotted, one of which was put down by a crash-landing mallard and the other by an inept cast. Nevertheless a great escape from civilisation for a few hours.
