River quite low but clear. A few March Browns between 12.00 and 14.00 stimulated some surface activity. All fish on dry March Browns. Largest fish ~ 1.5lb.

Really hard days fishing. Perfect conditions, two big hatches not a single fish seen or caught. Threw the kitchen sink at them but to not avail. Beautiful setting will go back later in the season and try again.

1 brown trout returned and 3 rainbow trout.
Bottom worm fishing.

Weather fine with a light breeze, not much ripple to assist the fishing. Lovely brown trout just over a pound caught on hares ear nymph. Great grebes on lake and plenty of fly life.

Enjoyable day despite the trout keeping their heads down other than for a frantic 45 minutes starting about 13.30 pm when there was suddenly a lot of surface action at the top end of the beat with multiple missed takes to a dry and decent fish hooked and played but lost and another landed.

Nice beat, just need a little more water

Seriously slow start, few natural browns on small flys just under tower. No fish movement at all but managed 4 rainbows on old type flys, Zulu’s, bloody butcher, Invicter, red tag.
