One small Brown Trout taken on small nymph

This was a very speculative end-of-season cast for salmon. We were not successful on that front, but did catch four small brown trout. A lovely beat in beautiful countryside.

river very running very quick could not hold a lead, only fished in the slack waters. but my first trout so very happy

A quieter day than normal here. Pellet feeder was most productive method.

2 Barbel, 6 Chub

River looked in great condition, moderate flow. Unfortunately fish didn't seem very active and only had one Chub about 1-1/2lb and another better Chub of 4lb on meat. Besides that only had 3 other bites between us.

What appeared ideal conditions, I struggled to find any feeding fish, having to wait until last knockings for any activity
