River low very hard day for the both of us, tried different swims and different baits a 4lb chub last cast saved me from blanking, was surprised as usually catch well here

1 Chub

Water clear and level dropping and many leaves falling from the trees and coming down the water- great to be out on last day. We fished all day but nothing seen or caught.
Highlight of the day was meeting a gentleman who had fished these waters for 36 years, we wished him well and hope to see him again next year when he will be in his eightieth year

3 Barbel, 8 Chub

Sadly didnt get a graying but saw plenty of trout, nice but tricky stream to fish, will definitely try again

An otter and a kingfisher made an appearance but no grayling unfortunately. Four out of season wild brown trout 11” to 14” safely released.

One oos trout and a very small grayling, both on nymphs, nothing rising.

Cracking day, river looking lovely good amount of flow. Started on the beach section and despite conditions being bob on struggled to get a bite even on the float, which we tried for a while but to no avail. Then just as we had decided to go and try the bottom section I had a lovely barbel of 10lb 2oz. We still moved and managed a few chub from the bottom section, again nothing trotting, sometimes they just wont take a moving bait! then a move back up to the first swims really produced the goods. Chris had a lovely 6lb chub first cast back and i managed two more barbel weighing 9lb 8oz and 10lb 3oz. The last one literally pulling the rod round as I picked it up to reel in for the day. All fish came to spiced meat, didn't seem to want pellet as a hookbait. So 3 Barbel and 9 chub overall, lovely stretch, would recommend but access very tricky for lots of the sections and you need waders and or spike and rope for much of it.

Tough day.
Fished in the woods. All fish came in a 2hr window around midday.

A lovely beat but the fish were not playing ball with only small chub and barbel being caught.
