4 Barbel, 6 Chub

A very enjoyable day to celebrate a friends birthday. the catch return above is at least what we caught a huge shoal of small chub was present

Highlight of the day was a 11oz dace

Fished hard all day, a few fish seen and one fish was ‘bumped off’ . Various flies tried all day. Alas was not to be but beautiful water to spend the day on.

Fished the bend and lost too much gear to snags, moved to the top end of the meadow to only find a couple of chub

3 fish caught, 1 on float and 2 on bottom using worm, nothing on spinner, water low

Quite a clean Hen fish around 10lb from the Rock pool. Wet cell 2 and 1.5 inch black and red copper .River carrying quite a bit of colour and falling . Fish went off strongly when returned.

1 Salmon

Condition s looked great with warm still weather and river coloured but dropping nicely. Unfortunately the fishing was very quiet. Tried for barbel with zero bites and few knocks. Picked up two chub up to 2.5lbs while trotting. A lovely beat, so better luck another time
