River was very low and clear, conditions were very wet and overcast all day.
I had 14 chub and 7 barbel, nearly all were on rolling meat method in various swims, a couple fell to feeder later on in the evening.
My brother had 10 chub and 1 barbel, most of which were caught on feeder with pellet hookbait and a couple on the float with meat.

River very low - “on it’s bones”! Picked up one WBT in the fast water on a partridge and orange (fished in tandem with a snipe and purple)

Campers and caravaners tend to spoil the Aberbran end skimming stones and throwing sticks for dogs in the river.
I think the farm should advise them against this, given the price of the fishing.

That said, it’s still one of my favourite beats and I fully appreciate how lucrative the camping is.

Hard work today very wet, problems young cows wanted to sit on your lap or get under your brolly which ment you spent more time watching your gear than fishing but that’s cows for you, the main disappointment was tried to fish the woods but it’s was like a little village full of wild campers and all the nice swims was full of kayaks and all there gear, so we couldn’t fish the woods at all so couldn’t get away from cows, had to use spike and rope to get out of some swims, definitely recommend one in the wet, hill was fun to drive on way out.

Wasn't fortunate enough to get amongst the barbel , whole day was receiving knocks from smaller fish, chub predominantly, from which I manage to strike few small chub, but for my surprise my first fish on a 15mm krill dumbbell was a decent perch of about 2lb

6 Chub, 1 Other
