Kingfishers, dippers with chicks, kite and buzzards but no flying insects and no rising trout. A beautiful beat

Zero catch rough water

First time on the Teme, fished from 08:00 til 13:00. A breezy morning put paid to presentation on such an open beat, water levels were low and gin clear. No hatch in the time I was there and no sign of fish. Disappointing but will give it another go when conditions change. Nil return.

2 WBT to the net, 10" and 12". Several misses / early releases. Targeted occasional risers. No success on deep nymphs or spiders. A couple of coloured salmon sighted in the deep pools.
