Decided to fish on the day despite that most swims were not accessible. Started at the Bridge Pool Gutter as the boards were visible although very slippery. Euro nymphing was possible but no takes at all. Decided to moving up to the tops boards as have never fished that part of the beat and being my first trip this year was not going to give that easy. Parking was interesting and best if you can open gate first then drive in. Found Hut at top of beat, small but cozy. Water too high to access boards by hut so walked further down and found access via stairs which were very slippy. Did have some fishing here again Euro nymphing but no takes.

Water falling nicely flowing clear. I found it a bit cold after a stumble and found myself on hands and knees in knee deep water. Weather very changeable. No fish seen.

Went along for a recce of the beat. Water quite high with nothing rising. Tried a few different nymphs without success.

River level quite high but clear but no takes on nymphs or dries.

Falling river , clear water . Little fly life to bring the fish up save for the odd pulse of olives , which the trout were quickly on to . Lovely day out

Very quiet on this stretch today .. little fly life about , highlights were signs of otters and masses of sand martins building their nests .

Good fishing till the wind dropped. Several takes fish hard to keep on caught 1. 1lb plus

River carrying a fair amount of colour but fishing well. Best an absolutely super fish... Can't have been far short of 2lb and gave me serious run around on a 7'6 3#.
