Float fishing to start with produced 2 chub, but conditions were difficult with strong wind and river running a bit too high. Later switched to free lining that produced 4 more chub. The best fish was 4 lb 10 oz.

Had a short session, not ideal conditions due to lots of rain last few days/also on the day itself. Fished for first time ever. Eventually found the fish, managed to catch 2 chub before my session had to end. Caught a 3.5lb Chub followed by a 1lb chub.

Not a bite all evening

What a beautiful beat saw a few rising fish through the afternoon access to the river was good although some of the stiles were a bit wobbly

Great day. River was high and coloured, with lots of fly life. Two on nymphs, one on the dry, three on the streamer. Strangely the fish weren’t interested in the hatches up top. Still enjoyed a super day.

Hoped for some trotting but the river came up over half a metre overnight so spent the day roving the section with the feeder rod. Caught chub from most swims and found barbel in just one - close in the slacker water in the morning and then further out in the flow in the evening once the water had dropped about 20cms.

Hard work today, even though the water looked good. Few feeding on the surface, and nothing over 6oz. But nice to be there.
