Lovely stretch of river, great fishing in the evening. Between 10AM and 5PM the boat traffic is too heavy, particularly on a nice weekend day, hundreds of craft on river. Fish late, if you can, at about 7PM it will switch on and the barbel will be queuing up for it.

Good evening rise from 8 o' clock until darkness at 9. Eleven hard fighting brown trout caught on dry flies to match the hatch. Water levels falling, and water slightly coloured.

It was great to finally get back on the creel , it’s quite difficult to get a booking these days as it’s become increasingly popular due to a particular fishing show .
The weather was Fantastic yet again , it took a while to get my first bite but once I had located the fish the bites became more frequent, usual pellet / feeder approach. Fished from 12pm till 8:30, love this beat can’t wait to return .
