The one ''other'', a Sand martin, took an an Adams F fly. Tied on a barbless emerger hook size 16 and hooked in the beak whilst on the wing, the Sand martin was safely released and flew strongly away. The Adams F proved to be popular with the trout as well.

Did not fish. I tackled up but just walked upstream for 200 yards without making a cast. River is on its bones, no water to run a fly through.
Access in and out of river is a nightmare, triple strand barbed wire. Who writes the beat descriptions? Is it a particularly dishonest estate agent? Wading is not relatively easy over sand and shingle. Wading is treacherous over slippery bedrock.
I've had more negative experiences fishing these beats than positive ones, I'm done with it now, no more!

Didn't end up fishing. Phoned your staff to enquire. Got told couldn't fish at location we were at. Needed to go further downstream. By that time kids were fed up with the mess around. Disappointed.

I found the river high and fast from the recent rains and a bit murky and the fish could no longer be found in their usual locations. I found them in pockets using some perdigons and stimulating nymph colors.
