Water levels low and and water clear. Even so surprisingly few fish rising in a steady mayfly hatch. Recent habitat improvement has made casting easier but speculation in many holes and riffles failed to yield the expected rise. Never mind it's still one of my favourite beats

Very difficult conditions due to exceptionally low water level. However, whenever the sun went in, fishing became much easier. All fish holding in fast flowing oxygenated water. Beautiful beat and I shall return.
