River was reasonably clear and seemed in good condition, weather bright and sunny. We fished Beat 2 selecting swims where there was plenty of flow. Caught just the one Chub, about 3 1/2lbs and in beautiful condition.

No fish caught all day! Visit this beautiful fishery, but don't bother wasting your money on a day permit just walk round and admire the wonderful setting.surley this fishery could become much better if a better restocking policy was in place, as an experienced angler I have never visited such a poorly operated reservoir. Come on get your act together and stop ripping people off, just have a look at your reviews.

Lovely stretch but difficult choosing a peg because ya can't seem to get on the east water, struggled but one barbel of 9lb was caught plus chub and eels. Baits used were meat and pellets. The wildlife on display was fantastic in beautiful scenery.

I fished this delightful beat between 4 and 6.30 pm. The river level was a bit lower than when I last visited, but otherwise in excellent condition. I fished dry, mainly Adams and Sedge. As with my experience at Chainbridge the previous week, the anticipated rise never really materialised. This remains one of my favourite stretches of river anywhere however and the consoling pint at the Bell is the perfect way to round off a day spent fishing rather than catching.

Plenty of fish about. Conditions perfect. Must be me. Great day. Lots of canoes with little idea how to negotiate an angler so clearly not briefed.

River quite low but normal for this time of year. Fished the morning with nymphs and caught one decent sized WBT (1.5lbs.) on a pheasant tail fished upstream. Tried dry flies for the evening rise ( mainly sedges) but whilst there were fish rising I didn't manage to hook one!

A great beat however the day was spoiled by groups of youth on the opposite bank using the beat as an aqua park.

Difficult day today managing 4 chub and the one Barbel
These all fell to the rolling ledger and meat tactic as static baits didn't work at all. Lovely stretch

1 Barbel, 4 Chub
