Colouring cock of approx 13lbs from half way down Glangwy on a Red Frances. It had shunned my Willie Gunn tube first time down. No takers from the Run apart from a fantastic 2lb grayling.

Great days fishing despite the occasional rain. All the fish came to nymphs with the largest trout being approximately 1.5lb. All fish safely returned.

River dropped to 0.58m overnight but still carrying nice tint. A couple of fish moving on Rock. Saw a fish rush from under the rock to chase S.B.'s fly but turned away at last minute. A couple of shows at the pub. Fished for 8 hrs. Just one good pull each of indeterminate origin.

A mild day with moderate showers of increasing duration. 10 wild brown caught, all released. 9 taken on a #18 gold bead head/quill body. Fished New Zealand dropper style from an olive Klinkhammer. One taken on this fly. Several fish missed through out the day on both flies. Some surface activity evident sporadically.
A wonderful day with plenty of kingfisher sightings! A beautiful beat, thank you WUF.

Arrived at river at 9am to find it coloured and pushing through quite fast. Perfect looking conditions, humid, overcast and colour.
First barbel to mates rod, first bite at 15:15. Beautifully conditioned fish of exacty 9lb. This was followed by his second barbel, 5lb at 19:00. Both caught on garlic flavoured meat. As for me, first and only bite at 19:15 which came in a downpour and was missed. Fished until dark trying pellets of all types. Wye dropped a little then came back up a bit and we are at a loss as to why we had so few bites,on a river that looked spot on.
I suppose that's what keeps us coming back.
Cheers Graham.
