Nice stretch, catch and released two 12 inches trouts , on yellow dun, river conditions perfect but the temperature dropped down in the evening.

First visit to the Usk and I will certainly be back. 2 Trout on olive klinkhammer and bumped three others on nymphs. First fish was around 2lb and stunning! Other was around the 1lb mark.

No salmon landed. Had a pull and briefly hooked a fish at the head of beat 6.

3 small rainbow trout caught on bottom using worm...would be nice if it was stocked with some bigger fish.

Lovely conditons and decent hatches of Mayfly, sedge and small light coloured upwinged insects. Rising fish in the top and bottom streamy sections morning and evening evening. Missed a couple of fish at the bottom section early on and another in the top section early evening. Returned to the bottom section at last knocking. Missed another riser and finally hooked and landed a nice fish of about a 1lb. Hallelujah! Returned the fish. Caught on a barbless Jingler.
