Really hard days fishing with the river being very low with lots of weed getting caught around our lines but still very enjoyable in a beautiful location to fish. We had 3 barbel and 2 Chub. Barbel were all around the 7lb mark and the Chub about 4lb. All fish were caught on pellet.

The excellent directions from the Wye and Usk were spot on again and this was a easy venue to find plus offers some spectacular views on route.
Despite the low water we enjoyed some very good sport on a variety of methods. The Barbel were all small but fought hard in the fast water and we caught one beauty of a chub just over 5lb. It was encouraging to see a venue producing some decent dace and a wide range of different year class of chub.
The conditions were on our side at this venue and we thank the owners and WUF for giving us the opportunity of fishing here.

Fishing quite slow until the late afternoon. Fished the feeder with halibut pellet. River was low, with most fish coming from the deeper middle section of the river. Difficult to fish the whole stretch as there were not many swims so it was not possible to fish different areas. Overall not a bad couple of days. The majority of the Home Fishery bank can be fished from the Courtfield stretch.

Nice day to be on a lovely stretch of the river. Spent all day trotting maggot, bread and meat resulting in 5 reasonable chub and hundreds of small dace and chublets.
