This streght of the river is very very difficult to wade. I advise to take it very carefull if this is the first time in this spot. The river was a little bit low of water.

River very low. I wish I brought felt soles the rocks were very slippery. Got two very nice trout on leader to hand tactics.
The directions have changed the there is no toilet sign and I think the layby mentioned has been filled in.

Fished ticket machine side for 5 hours and nothing caught. Went over other side into the bay and used small mepps, catching 6 fish in 2 hours. They really go for small spinners.

1 x coloured cock salmon, 32 inches, on Bann Shrimp. 1 foot 3 inches was showing on the Llanstephan gauge after rain. I would have appreciated a few inches more, but there was a nice red peaty tinge to the water (possibly from the Irfon headwaters?). An early fish on a cool and cloudy morning, but further success seemed less likely when the sun came out and the day heated up. I spent half an hour sitting on the bank watching an otter fishing his way up the main run of Cwm Geifer.

The day started off overcast and showers, started off in the swim at bottom of fishery, a little tight with over hanging trees. Started to fish with pellet and groundbait with a few little bites, changed to bread crust and the chub started to bite.
What a lovely day fishing for chub but unfortunately no barbel. The water was rising and the sun started to come out so left at 3.30pm. This will be a great winter fishery with the amount of chub.

Beautiful stretch of river. No salmon but three excellent brown trout. Marking promising pools on the beat map would help anglers.
