Caught fish on spinner(1) and rest on worm. Surprised how much water has been taken from reservoir. Always find rangers pleasant and informative. Excellent way to spend a day. Looking forward to next trip.

A lovely day weather wise, however the river was still rising from the previous two days of rainfall. Fished with meat(tinned ham) and between us managed only five chub and two dace from beats three and four. Two of the chub were five pounds plus. We will return to this very beautiful stretch in an attempt to to tempt the the barbel.

Afternoon visit to this well kept fishery. Colin directed me to a going swim and caught from start to feeder and small pellet. Barbel up to 7lb, and chub to 4lb. Bites seemed to dry up in evening despite the river level being up from last few days.

Hard days fishing with blue sky and warm temps. Action late afternoon with four rainbows caught and kept approx. 2 to 3 lbs. Tree felling activity did not cause any access problems.

Found Cefnllysgwynne hard going today. Wanted slow and clear but river high and coloured after overnight downpours. Hooked into three fish and only one to hand. These were all got on the dink bit of a klink and dink, which in this case was a dark #16 gold head nymph.

Great days fishing on this magical stream. Seemed to catch it just right; river fairly low but with a tinge of colour after the previous days rain. Caught countless trout in the 6-8 inch range, with 3 trout in the 10-12 inch range. Every likely looking pool produced a trout. Fished a black magic nymph under an elk hair caddis. Fish came to both.
