This river is fishing very well. 4 beautifully conditioned brownies on a mayfly fished upstream and one brownie on a small black nymph fished across and down. Many many more times that number of fish missed due to lighting speed of takes and dullness of my reaction! Day unfortunately prematurely ended at around 3pm by a broken rod - something I will never take for granted again.
